nestled in the foothills of appalachia just outside of Athens, Ohio on a ramshackle homestead with blonde haired babies running amok, my heart lies in a life unhurried. i think that authentic and messy is beautiful. i encourage all of my families to embrace their messy beautiful, too. i can relate to it all. the breastfeeding mom in the trenches, the wild toddler years, you wonder if your house will ever be clean again or if you'll ever have it all together. you feel the opposite of picture perfect.

what if we changed the narrative?

i specialize in finding unique perspectives and making ordinary moments into art with a hands off, soft and comfortable approach to documenting. with a heavy emphasis on connection over curation, there's plenty of space for everyone to show up as they are and be celebrated for it. if you are willing to let go of the idea of trying to force perfect smiles, perfect poses, and let go of expectations

you can find a soft footing with me.

you can focus on enjoying our experience together, whether it be in your home or out on an adventure together. you deserve artistic preservations of your right now. you'll want to remember the way you looked adoringly at your little one. how tiny their hands were. you'll miss the days of broken crayons scattered around the floor and hair sticking out in all directions. instead of worrying about fitting into a mold of what photos should look like,

give yourself permission to fully embrace what your family photos should FEEL like.

they should feel like you. let me show you.

warmly,

megan springer.
