love letters
I wholeheartedly believe that the more open we are in sharing ourselves, the deeper connections we can forage.
As your photographer, what I ask of you is to be brave enough to show up as yourself. I think it’s equally important for me to do the same.
My goal here is to go beyond the surface and unearth bits of myself and my art in hopes to find meaningful relationships that directly and indirectly influence and shape me as an artist and person.

Permission
‘My heart has sung so many songs begging for me to listen to it. To stop creating with the weight of expectation like concrete blocks strapped to my shoes. And to just release. Be untamed, run wild, and be unapologetically myself.’
Family Photos with Connection- Miller Manor Mt. Vernon, Ohio
“What happens inside the walls of our home is so much more important than what is hanging on them or what color they are painted
(Personally, I’ve become a fan of the cobwebs hanging from all the wood beams).”
Featuring photos from a family session at Miller Manor in Mt. Vernon, OH that inspired me to share more about my own home.
New beginnings and defining success
I think I’ve been getting my ideas of successful from the wrong places- I think I have been looking at everyone else.
I’m ringing in my new year talking goals and what it means to be successful. Featuring images from my photo evolution over the past year.

Talking points: inspiration and being yourself
It’s a question often asked: “where do you get your inspiration from? what inspires you?” and in the world of social media sharing, these platforms are an obvious, helpful source. This entry goes into other ways I find inspiration and how I bring myself into my work.
Ode to lasts
my baby turning three kind of sucker punched me right in the gut…
featuring some photos from an on-going self portrait series
Against the grain
We are all created uniquely us, each of us beautifully different. But we’re driven to conform, to be like our peers. And it’s so easy to get wrapped up in trying to be like everyone else when trying to navigate who we really are, especially if we feel like we don’t fit the mold.
(Featuring photos from part 1 of Sarah’s senior session)
Back in the saddle
Our society likes us to think if we don’t hustle, then we’re lazy..I like to think that rest is productive
I’m back in the saddle after taking some time to rest
Thoughts from the dentist chair
You know when you’re forced to sit still, maybe even trying to meditate, and your mind starts to wander? Well, that was me sitting in the dentists office the other day. These are my thoughts.
You should go and love yourself
Just over here trying to remind myself my face isn’t offensive.
Wanna be friends?… :-)
Imma get real about what navigating friendship can be like getting older and becoming a mom.
A crippling case of perfectionism
Trying to be perfect in photography can really hold you back rather than propel you forward. For me, it’s. a total hindrance.
Don’t let what he wants eclipse what you need… ...he is not the sun, you are.
Speaking metaphorically of course, but how easy it is to get so wrapped up in others that you forget who you are. I’m ready to start sharing my story and how I got here.
And is all that’s lost, really lost at all?
^^this is an excerpt from my personal journal. I stumbled across this entry that seemed to be some kind of poem I wrote a few months before things in my life started changing…
Here I’m continuing to open up about myself what led me to where I am.
